Bishop Reidy to Celebrate Mass for Life and Lead Bus Trip to Connecticut March for Life

All are invited to take part in a day of prayer and public witness at the Connecticut March for Life on Wednesday, March 18.

Mass for Life

The day will begin with a Mass for Life at 8:30 a.m. celebrated by Bishop Richard F. Reidy at the Cathedral of St. Patrick, 213 Broadway, Norwich. Cathedral students will be attending, and all parishioners are encouraged to join them in praying for the dignity of every human life, from conception to natural death.

Bus Trip and Schedule

Following Mass, participants will depart at 9:30 a.m. on a deluxe DATTCO motorcoach for Hartford to take part in the day’s events:

  • 10:30 a.m. – Pre-rally concert
  • 11:30 a.m. – Rally at the State Capitol
  • 12:30 p.m. – March around Bushnell Park
  • 2:00 p.m. – Depart Hartford
  • 3:00 p.m. – Return to the Cathedral

Cost and Registration

The cost is $20 per person. Youth accompanied by a paying parent are free. The bus is already half full, so early registration is encouraged.

Make checks payable to ACA with “Pro-Life” in the memo line. Mail the application and payment to:

Helpful Notes

  • Please pack your own lunch, snacks, and drinks.
  • Parking for Mass and the bus is available at the Lower Otis Street entrance. Please park in the far back of the Cathedral lot, as school will be in session.
  • Flyers/applications will be delivered to surrounding parishes Thursday/Friday.
  • A bulletin announcement will be emailed to parishes as well.

Work Beginning on Towers at the Cathedral of Saint Patrick
The scaffolding that's recently gone up near the Cathedral of Saint Patrick's main entrance is the sign of a long awaited project that's taking shape.
