‘God Chose You for Me’: Marriage Retreat Day Planned for March 21

Married couples are invited to step away from the busyness of daily life and invest in their relationship at a Marriage Retreat Day titled God Chose You for Me, sponsored by Worldwide Marriage Encounter in collaboration with the Archdiocese of Hartford.

The retreat will take place on Saturday, March 21, at the Archdiocese of Hartford’s Pastoral Center in Bloomfield. Designed as a day of reflection, prayer, and renewal, the retreat focuses on deepening the spirituality of marriage and strengthening the bond between husband and wife.

Rooted in the mission of Worldwide Marriage Encounter, God Chose You for Me invites couples to rediscover God’s presence at the heart of their sacrament. Through guided reflection, personal prayer, and shared moments of dialogue, couples are encouraged to reflect on their vocation to marriage and the ways God continues to call them to love, sacrifice, and grow together.

The retreat day offers a welcoming and supportive environment for couples at every stage of married life— from newlyweds to those celebrating many years together. Rather than group sharing, the experience emphasizes private reflection and meaningful conversation between spouses, allowing couples to reconnect in a peaceful, faith-centered setting.

By partnering with Worldwide Marriage Encounter, the Archdiocese of Hartford continues its commitment to supporting married couples and nurturing strong, faith-filled families throughout the Church.

Married couples seeking a day of spiritual refreshment and deeper connection are encouraged to consider this retreat as a meaningful opportunity to pause, pray, and renew the gift of their marriage.

Together, they reveal who she is, where she is, and how she leads us to her Son.
