NEW: School of Spiritual Direction in Putnam, CT

The Immaculate Conception Center in Putnam, CT - in partnership with Franciscan University's School of Spiritual Direction - is offering a two-week intensive training program in spiritual direction, January 29- February 11, 2023. This is the first part of a three-year program for Certification in Spiritual Direction.

There is a great hunger for spiritual direction and a need for qualified spiritual directors who are willing to serve the Church by leading others to a deeper intimacy with God. In Memoriam: Reverend John Stanley Gwudz (1946–2026)

Reverend John Stanley Gwudz, a retired priest of the Diocese of Norwich, died on Monday, January 26, 2026, in San Diego, California, following a lengthy illness. Funeral arrangements are pending in California, where he resided for many years, with burial to follow at the Miramar National Cemetery in San Diego. Father John was born in Norwich, Connecticut, on July 1, 1946. He attended Falls School and St. Joseph School, and graduated from St. Bernard High School.
