The Most Rev. Michael R. Cote, President of Catholic Charities Diocese of Norwich, Inc., has announced the appointment of Kathleen Capon, MSW, as Interim Director of Catholic Charities.
Capon has been a member of Catholic Charities Board of Directors since September 2021.
“I am thankful to Mrs. Capon for accepting my request to assume the interim leadership responsibilities dependent on the appointment of an Executive Director," Bishop Cote said.
The appointment follows the resignation of Susan Connelly on March 17, 2023, as Chief Operations Officer.
Ms. Connelly stated in her letter of resignation: “It has been a privilege to have had the opportunity to have helped so many people in our communities and wish only the best for Catholic Charities.”
Bishop Cote expressed his gratitude to Ms. Connelly for her faithful and outstanding service to Catholic Charities since 2016.
