Play Like A Champion Today Coach's Workshop

Play Like a Champion Today provides leadership in an effort to renew the culture of youth sport. The Coach’s Clinic of Play Like a Champion Today is centered around the principles of coaching as a ministry. The program is supported by research on character development & faith formation in sports. Play Like a Champion Today is designed to bring the best athlete-centered practices to your community. Coaches are required to attend the Play Like a Champion Today Workshop prior to volunteering at Catholic Schools. There are 2 upcoming Coach’s Clinics:

Saturday, August 26th 10:00 am - 12:30 pm in the Hall of Cathedral of St. Patrick, Norwich or Sunday, August 27that 6:00 pm - 8:30 pm in the Gym of St. John's School, Old Saybrook. To register please go to: https://forms.office.com/r/VK4d3K9c2Y

The faithful of the Diocese of Norwich are invited to join Bishop Reidy on Tuesday, September 15, 2026, for a day of prayer, pilgrimage and fellowship at St. Anne Shrine in Sturbridge, Massachusetts. The pilgrimage will take place on the Memorial of Our Lady of Sorrows and will offer participants a special opportunity for devotion to St. Anne and the Blessed Virgin Mary. For more than 100 years, pilgrims have traveled to St. Anne Shrine seeking healing, peace and the unfailing love of Christ through the intercession of St. Anne and her daughter, Mary. A Youth and Family Event with Bishop Reidy hosted by Deanery I: A Hike to the Wolf Den at Mashamoquet Brook State Park, 276 Mashamoquet Road, Pomfret, CT. On August 16th, the Sunday after the Solemnity of the Assumption, parishioners of Saint Joseph Church in Rockville were invited to bring flowers, herbs, and fruits to be blessed after the 10 am Mass as they gathered together for the annual St. Joseph’s Parish Picnic. The weather was beautiful, and it proved to be a wonderful opportunity for families and friends to relax, reconnect, and celebrate the spirit of the parish community!
