Call to Action Against Legalization of Recreational Marijuana in Connecticut

The Connecticut Catholic Public Affairs Conference, the public policy office of Connecticut’s Catholic Bishops, is uniting with the CT State Missionary Baptist Convention and the CT Chapter of the National Hispanic Christian Leadership Conference to speak out against the legalization of recreational marijuana in Connecticut.

We exhort our Catholic parishes throughout Connecticut to join with these urban faith communities to make this initiative successful. Need more information on the issue go to – www.ctactholicpac.org

Action Needed:

Call the phone numbers below to leave a message for your State Senator and Representative telling them you oppose Senate Bill 1085, which would legalize recreational marijuana in Connecticut. The Call to Action campaign is requesting that these phone calls be made from May 6th through May 8th. If you do not know your State Senator and Representative you can go to www.cga.ct.gov , click on Representatives and then “Find Your Representatives”.

When you call just ask to speak to your Senator or Representative.

  • Senate Republicans 1-800-842-1421
  • House Democrats 1-800-842-8267
  • House Republicans 1-800-842-1423

Please help defeat the legalization of recreational marijuana in our state. Help Connecticut avoid the problems it has created in other states. If you have questions about contacting your legislators or about the campaign you can contact the Connecticut Catholic Public Affairs Conference at ccc@ctcatholic.org or 860-524-7882
