Catholicism: The Pivotal Players

The Our Lady of Lourdes Parish in Gales Ferry presents CATHOLICISM: The Pivotal Players, a series of segments from Bishop Robert Barron’s DVD that explores saints, artists, mystics and scholars who helped shape the life of the Church and the course of Western civilization.

There is no fee for the series, which takes place on the following dates at the Our Lady of Lourdes Parish meeting room, 1654 Route 12 in Gales Ferry (across from CVS).

October 24 

St. JOHN HENRY NEWMAN, the Convert left a prestigious career to seek and preach the apostolic faith.

November 7 

G.K. CHESTERTON, the Evangelist publicly, humbly, humorously announced the paradoxes and truth of Christianity.

November 21 

MICHELANGELO, the Artist demonstrated that beauty and creativity are a primary route of access to God.
