It is with great pleasure that I congratulate Liza Roach on her new position as Family Life Minister. Her extensive work with youth and young adults will be a great foundation for her future work with families in the diocese. Please keep her in your prayers as she begins this new endeavor! —Andrea Hoisl
As Liza Roach steps into her new role as Family Life Minister, we take a moment to celebrate her years of faithful service to the young people of the Diocese of Norwich. Her dedication, energy, and joyful spirit have touched countless lives—fostering vocations, nurturing faith, and building bridges between parishes and young Catholics across eastern Connecticut.
Liza’s transition leaves an important opportunity open: the Diocese of Norwich is now seeking a new Youth and Young Adult Minister to continue this vital work. This position is more than a job—it’s a ministry rooted in relationship, service, and the mission of the Church to form disciples and share the Gospel with the next generation.
The Youth and Young Adult Minister will coordinate diocesan events, support parish ministries, and serve as a resource for building dynamic, Christ-centered communities among youth (grades 6–12) and young adults (ages 18–39). The role will also involve collaboration with other diocesan offices, outreach to college campuses, leadership formation, and the organization of retreats, conferences, and sports programs.
We are looking for someone who is passionate about their Catholic faith, deeply committed to evangelization, and eager to accompany young people on their spiritual journeys. If you, or someone you know, feels called to serve in this capacity, we invite you to learn more and consider applying.
