Bereavement Day of Prayer: Praying Your Goodbyes

The Diocesan Evangelization & Discipleship Ministry will host a gentle, hope-filled Bereavement Day of Prayer on Saturday, November 15, from 10:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m. at St. Colman Church, 170 Hubbard Street, Middlefield, CT 06455.

Titled “Praying Your Goodbyes,” this workshop— facilitated by Mary-Jo McLaughlin and Deacon Peter Gill— offers a compassionate space for anyone grieving the loss of a loved one. As the holidays approach, participants will be guided through practical ways to navigate the season and discover how God can bring growth, meaning, and quiet healing in the midst of sorrow.

The morning will include:

Time for private reflection, prayer, and journaling

Encouraging insights on walking with grief during the holidays

Concrete suggestions for spiritual and emotional self-care

There is no cost to attend, but registration is required by Monday, November 10.

To register, call Alvania Tejada at 860-848-2237, ext. 304 or email faithevents@norwichdiocese.net.

If you are carrying a recent loss— or one that resurfaces this time of year— you are not alone.

Come, rest in the Lord, and let Him meet you where you are.
