As Advent approaches, we as Catholics eagerly anticipate the spiritual journey leading to Christmas. This sacred period, spanning four weeks, encourages believers to reflect on the profound meaning of Christ’s birth. Advent serves as a time of preparation, allowing us to cultivate a spirit of hope, joy, peace, and love. We contemplate the First Coming of Jesus as Savior and anticipate His promised Second Coming. And amid the flurry of Christmas preparations, we look for practical ways to observe the holiness of the season in our everyday lives.
