As anticipation builds for the 2026 Connecticut March for Life, scheduled for March 18, 2026, organizers are encouraging parishes across the state to help make participation accessible by sponsoring buses to the event or partnering with neighboring parishes to do so.
This call to action follows a powerful witness earlier this year. On Thursday, January 22, 2026, the faithful gathered for Mass at the Cathedral of Saint Patrick in Norwich. Following the liturgy, a contingency of pilgrims— led by Bishop Richard Reidy— traveled to Washington, D.C. to participate in the national March for Life. That moment of prayer, unity, and witness underscored the importance of coming together as a Church to affirm the dignity of every human life.
Building on that momentum, organizers hope to see strong participation once again at the state level in Hartford this March. One of the most effective ways parishes can support this effort is by providing group transportation. Bus sponsorship not only increases attendance, but also ensures that individuals and families of all ages are able to participate without transportation barriers.
Like last year, the Knights of Columbus are assisting with logistics by working with DATTCO to offer reduced bus rates for parishes sponsoring transportation. Parishes are encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity, either independently or in collaboration with nearby communities.
In addition, parishes sponsoring a bus are asked to post their transportation information on the official Connecticut March for Life website, CTMarchforLife.org, so others in their area may know a bus is available and join the effort.

The Connecticut March for Life is a public witness rooted in prayer, unity, and love for life at every stage. With the help of parishes, councils, and volunteers across the state, organizers are confident that the 2026 Connecticut March for Life will be a strong and faith-filled success.
Together, let us continue the momentum begun in prayer at the altar and carried into the public square, bearing witness to the Gospel of Life.
