Connecticut's First March for Life Coming April 15

The National March for Life organization, in cooperation with the Connecticut Catholic Public Affairs Conference and the Family Institute of Connecticut, are holding Connecticut’s first official March for Life event on April 15, 2020 at the State Capitol.

The March will be a time for Connecticut citizens to express their support for the life of the unborn and their opposition to euthanasia and physician-assisted suicide.  Although the issues which the March will address are controversial in our society, people of faith must speak the truth and follow the Gospel imperative to be a light unto the world.  We will be joined by our brothers and sisters of all faiths in this major demonstration.

SCHEDULE:

  • 9:30 a.m.: Doors Open – Bushnell Theater, 166 Capitol Avenue, Hartford, CT 06103
  • Assemble for a Pre-March Short Program
  • 10:00 a.m.: Pre-March Short Program begins at the Bushnell
  • 11:15 a.m.: 1st Official CT March for Life – March begins at the Bushnell
  • 12:00 p.m.: 1st Official CT March for Life Rally – Rally begins at the State Capitol

Following the liturgy, a contingency of pilgrims— led by Bishop Richard Reidy— traveled to Washington, D.C. to pa...

Reimagined and Renewed!
Jeremiah 29:11 reminds us: “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” In collaboration with the ministry team from the Office of Faith Events, Bishop Reidy recently renamed the ministry to better reflect the work and outreach happening across the diocese. The Office of Faith Events is now known as the Evangelization and Discipleship Ministry. This new name expresses more clearly the heart of our mission: to help the Diocese of Norwich be “Roote...
