Catholic Charities to Celebrate 99 years of Service to the Community!

Catholic Charities is pleased to announce the celebration of our 99th Anniversary on Saturday, April 18, 2020 at the Mystic Yachting Center in Mystic, Connecticut.  The funds raised through the “Hope Anchors the Soul” Gala will allow Catholic Charities to carry out the mission of Providing Help and Creating Hope for the poor and economically disadvantaged of all faiths in Eastern Connecticut.  Catholic Charities has been providing compassionate social services  for almost 99 years.  With your anticipated support, Catholic Charities will be able to continue a rich history of service.

Former Chairperson’s Presence Felt at Catholic Charities Golf Tournament
Catholic Charities wrapped up another successful Golf Tournament at Great Neck Country Club on September 13th, 2021. We were blessed with a beautiful day to host 92 golfers, including Bishop Michael Cote, Monsignor Les Janik and Father Kevin Reilly.  This year’s tournament was bittersweet after the sudden passing of Ralph Monaco a few months ago. 1950s Aug. 6, 1953, Pope Pius XII established the Diocese of Norwich with Bishop Bernard J. Flanagan as bishop. The jurisdiction of the Diocese included the four counties in Eastern Connecticut: New London, Norwich, Middlesex, Tolland, and Fishers Island, a small portion of Suffolk County in New York State.
