A one-hour prayer vigil, hosted by the Norwich Area Clergy Association, was held at Wednesday evening at Chelsea Parade in memory of all of those who have died due to racism in the country.
Religious leaders of various faiths shared words of unity and hope, and led the nearly 100 faithful participants in prayer and song from their faith traditions.
One of many events of this type held throughout eastern Connecticut organized to,
". . .try to understand what we can do to restore inner peace and national harmony, strengthen our community, and put an end to the hate that continues to challenge and hurt us,”
the association president, Rabbi Julius Rabinowitz, said in a news release announcing the vigil.
