Virtual Forum Explores 'Life in the Thought of Pope Francis'

FCC News Desk --

An appreciation of the dignity and worth of all human beings was at the heart of a special online forum held Sunday, Oct. 4.

"Life in the Thought of Pope Francis" was hosted from the Diocese of Norwich by Father Robert Washabaugh, who invited three national speakers to reflect on a number of key life topics.

The speakers were Ashley Feasley, Director of Policy for USCCB Migration and Refugee Services, Steve Karlen, National Campaign Director 40 Days for Life, and Joseph Meyer, Executive Director of Project Laudato Si.

The topics of the hour-long forum included the World Day for Migrants and Refugees, 40 Days for Life, and Laudato Si - Connecting Faith with Care for Our Common Home.

"It's really wonderful to be able to put together a program like this and talk about issues that are of huge importance in the church today," Fr. Washabaugh said. "It's all about life."

The program was made possible by the ongoing support through the Annual Catholic Appeal.

Those words, spoken to quaking shepherds keeping watch by night over their flock, evoked great joy. Wit...
