December Holy Hour- Important Change in Time and Venue

The Monthly Holy Hour for Vocations will be Virtual this month with a time change due to the storm.
See Note from Fr. Greg Galvin, Director of Vocations for the details.

Due to the storm beginning Wednesday night into Thursday afternoon, the Monthly Holy Hour for Vocations which was due to be held from 6pm - 7pm in Pomfret CT is cancelled and will instead be live-streamed from ST. Bridget of Kildare Church on Thursday evening from 7pm-8pm. Please share this information with anyone you may know who was planning on attending and with those who may like to join us in praying this beautiful Eucharistic Holy Hour. All that is needed is to temporarily Friend Fr. Greg Galvin for access to the Holy Hour through facebook. Fr. Greg's Facebook Page

A Tradition Continues in Pawcatuck Hosted by the St. Michael Maria Assunta Society, this tradition was brought here by the Sicilian Tusani who migrated and settled in Pawcatuck. The beautiful statue of the Blessed Mother was carved in Genoa from wood and shipped from Palermo, Sicily, in 1935. Rising to a height of over 180 feet from ground level, the statue of Our Lady of Mercy exceeds in height the Christ the Redeemer statue in Brazil and the Christ the King statue in Poland.
