Legion of Mary to Mark its Centennial

The Legion of Mary is a world-wide Papally-approved organization of Catholic men and women who offer their services to their Pastor to aid him in performing spiritual works in the Parish. This is done by placing themselves under the banner of Mary so that with her help they may develop greater holiness in their lives as well as spread a deeper devotion to Mary among others; thus furthering the cause of Christ and His Blessed Mother.

Founded in 1921 by an Irishman, Frank Duff, the Legion has grown to over 3 million active members world-wide. Frank Duff’s conviction was that without exception we are all called to be saints and that through the Catholic Faith we have available all the means necessary to attain this. Today, Frank Duff along with 4 other members are on the track to Sainthood, and on the way to achieving Frank Duff’s goal.

The Legion of Mary of the Diocese of Norwich along with Bishop Cote has scheduled a Centennial Mass of Celebration to commemorate this Centennial Event on September 18, 2021 which will be celebrated by Bishop Cote and open to all in our Diocese. We will be posting more information on the Legion, our Founders and the Centennial Mass in the weeks to come.

Ave Maria,

The Legion of Mary Curia
Diocese of Norwich

Father Nadolny's Media Ministry
A Parish Without Boundaries When is a picture truly worth a thousand words? According to Father Edmund Nadolny, it’s when the picture is on a highway.   Father Nadolny has been sponsoring bold highway billboards that mix spiritual encouragement with pro-life messages for over 43 years. These signs – funded through his “Good News Fund” – have dotted Connecticut’s roads, carrying religious slogans, calls to prayer, and pleas on behalf of the unborn.  Born in 1933 in New Britain, the priesthood was not on Father Edmun...
