Youth and Family Explosion Coming to St. John’s in Montville

Join us for a powerful afternoon of faith, music, and fellowship at the Youth and Family Explosion

November 17, 2024, from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at St. John Church in Montville

Led by dynamic speaker and youth minister Jim Flanagan, this event will ignite hearts and souls through interactive talks, toe-thumping songs, and powerful witness. Jim, a dedicated youth ministry coordinator from the Archdiocese of Boston, brings 30 years of ministry experience. With his relatable stories and contagious enthusiasm for the faith, Jim invites participants to move their heads, hands, and hearts in worship, shouting to the Lord together.

The event also features Phil and Sue Fortin, a husband-and-wife music ministry team with over 30 years of experience. They’ll lead us in worship through powerful songs that transform us into prayer, strumming the chords that inspire deep encounters with God.

All are welcome to this family-friendly event designed to strengthen our connection to Christ and each other. Whether you're a youth, parent, catechetical leader, or parishioner looking to deepen your faith, this is a chance to celebrate together as a community.

Register today to secure your spot. Individual and family tickets are available. If you're a catechetical leader or youth minister, make sure to download the necessary materials and submit them to your diocesan office by October 31, 2024.

St. Joseph - Husband of Mary and Patron of the Universal Church
St. Joseph is honored with feast days throughout the Liturgical Year. This feast encourages us to look at Joseph's role as husband and head of the Holy Family. Most of what we know about the life of St. Joseph comes to us from Scripture and legends that have sprung up regarding his life. Though Joseph is only mentioned by two of the evangelists, he is paid the compliment of being a "just" man. This is a way of saying that Joseph was such a good and holy man that he shares in God's own holiness. In addition, Joseph gives us an example of h...
