The Gospel of Mark 6 Week Virtual Scripture Seminar

Join the Office of Faith Events for a Virtual Scripture Seminar
Discipleship and the Gospel of Saint Mark

A Bible Study with Dr. Lisa M. Gulino

Dr. Gulino will guide participants through the pages of the Gospel of St. Mark.

The Gospel of Mark unfolds, within the context of Jesus' journey to Jerusalem, key characteristics of living as a disciple of Jesus. You will learn key tools to reading the Gospel of Mark. The study of the Word of God is not enough, how do we pray with God's Word as well? Each session will present key concepts which breaks open the Word of God as well as an opportunity to discover how the Word of God, in light of Sacred Tradition, speaks to us today.

Each session will conclude with a Lectio Divina (Sacred reading and prayerful meditation) on a particular passage.

Lisa M. Gulino, D.min has served in Church ministry for 35 years with the specialties of adult spiritual formation, catechesis, and evangelization.

The Holy Tunic will travel almost four miles from Argenteuil, France, to the pope’s youth vigil at the Stade de France in Saint-Denis. It was a momentous day September 23rd, as we prayed our 40 Days For Life sidewalk vigil for the first time at the new Planned Parenthood in New London on 467 Ocean Ave. I was joined by Pat Coventry, Parish pro-life rep from St. Patrick’s in Mystic, and Carolyn Nelson, Parish pro-life rep from Our Lady of Lourdes in Gales Ferry. All women in the Diocese of Norwich are invited to join the Norwich Diocesan Council of Catholic Women (NDCCW). Membership is only $5 per year. The Membership Drive runs through the month of October. NDCCW was started in 1955 by Bishop Bernard J. Flanagan, the first Bishop of Norwich. Bishop Flanagan designated the NDCCW as the official women’s organization of the Diocese.
