St. Vincent de Paul Place to Hold Neighborhood Health Clinic

When: Monday August 22, 2022
10am to 3pm

Where: St. Vincent de Paul Place: 120 Cliff St. Norwich. No appointment needed. Insurance not required Ice cream, snacks, games and crafts for children. Everyone is welcome.

Hartford Health Care: Visit with a provider, nurse, or medical assistant. Basic lab testing, prescription assistance, vaccinations, referrals, and follow-up care.

TVCCA: Economic stability, housing /food assistance. Case Management, childcare and preschool programs, energy assistance, financial education, housing, meals.

Uncas Health District: All doses of Moderna/Pfizer COVID vaccines for ages 5 and older. Drug awareness and Narcan use.

UCFS: Access to primary care (medical, dental, and behavioral health), assistance with insurance applications, assistance with linkages to financial benefits.

Families are invited to join the Diocese of Norwich for a special pilgrimage celebrating St. Thérèse of Lisieux on October 1. The day will offer opportunities for prayer, fellowship, recreation and learning, with activities planned for children of all ages. The day begins at 9:30 a.m. at the Shrine of the Little Flower, 35 Dion Drive in Burrillville, R.I., followed by the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass at 10 a.m., celebrated by Bishop Reidy. The Holy Tunic will travel almost four miles from Argenteuil, France, to the pope’s youth vigil at the Stade de France in Saint-Denis. For the first time, a pope will witness an exposition of the Holy Tunic, the garment worn by Christ during his passion, which is preserved in the Basilica of Saint-Denis in Argenteuil, France. It was a momentous day September 23rd, as we prayed our 40 Days For Life sidewalk vigil for the first time at the new Planned Parenthood in New London on 467 Ocean Ave. I was joined by Pat Coventry, Parish pro-life rep from St. Patrick’s in Mystic, and Carolyn Nelson, Parish pro-life rep from Our Lady of Lourdes in Gales Ferry.
