Deepen Your Faith Through Theology

Lay persons are invited to study theology, not only to prepare well for engaging in the New Evangelization, but also because understanding Doctrine and Scripture is important to grow in a knowledge and love for Christ and His Church, which is at the heart of all authentic evangelizing efforts.

Are you looking to deepen your understanding of your faith? Are you intellectually curious? Do you want to strengthen your knowledge of Catholic Theology?

In today’s world, many people are seeking moral and philosophical guidance and want to connect more deeply with God and the Church as adults. Catholic theology offers both intellectual and practical insights that appeal to devout believers and seekers of the truth alike.

The Catholic Theology Certificate Program—offered by Dr. Robert White, founding director of the Académie Cor Iesu in Paray-le-Monial, France, and visiting Adjunct Professor of Theology at Providence College—provides that opportunity.

Saint Agnes Church, Niantic
Wednesday evenings, 6–8 p.m.

Dr. White will present a series of eight, four-week modules beginning in September. The full program participation fee is $800, but it is also possible to audit individual lectures or modules.

For a detailed flyer, visit www.saintagnescatholicchurch.com and click on the parish bulletin to learn more about the eight modules, program schedule, and required reading materials.

Registration is required: contact@coriesu.com

They’ve been together ever since and celebrated 69 years of marriage on June 30th.  “I was lucky with this guy,” Jane said while patting Jack on the arm as both sat in the front pew of the Cathedral of Saint Patrick in Norwich, waiting for the start of the Si...

St. Pier Giorgio Frassati - A Joyful Model of Holiness for Young Catholics
Saint Pier Giorgio Frassati (1901–1925) has long been admired for his vibrant spirit, devotion to the Eucharist, and tireless service to the poor—qualities now officially recognized by the Church with his canonization.   A Life of Adventure, Prayer, and Service Born into a well-to-do family in Turin, Italy, Pier Giorgio might easily have embraced a life of ease. Instead, he chose a radical path of generosity. Known affectionately—and mischievously—as “the Terror” by peers at the Royal Polytechnic of Turin, his lighthearted p...
