Role and Responsibilities

St. Joseph School is searching for an enthusiastic Middle School Social Studies Teacher committed to creating an atmosphere that encourages a love of learning in Grades 6-8, while following the Mission of Catholic Education and the Curriculum of the Norwich Diocese.

• Adept at determining students’ strengths and weaknesses and building lessons accordingly
• Will actively and creatively instruct students in Ancient History, World Geography, and United States History.
• Excellent Classroom Management Skills
• Communicates well with faculty, staff, and parents, working as a team player
• Creates a safe, productive classroom environment
• Utilizes technology and is open to growth in using technology

 Bachelor’s Degree and Teaching Certification required.

Some experience and a Master’s degree preferred but not required.
