Role and Responsibilities

  • Model the Catholic faith through personal witness, prayer, and participation in the sacramental life of the Church.
  • Help carry out age-appropriate lessons and activities planned by the lead teacher.
  • Facilitate creative play, storytelling, singing, and group activities.
  • Help organize learning materials, clean toys, and sanitize surfaces.
  • Reinforce classroom rules and support positive behavior guidance techniques.
  • Assist with daily routines, including arrival & dismissal, handwashing, eating, and napping.
  • Share basic daily updates with families or redirect detailed questions to the lead teacher.
  • Ensure children are always supervised indoors and outdoors (e.g., playground, restroom breaks).
  • Work closely with the lead teacher to maintain consistency and support classroom goals.
  • Participate in professional development when required.
  • Participate in school events, assemblies, extracurricular activities and contribute to a positive school culture.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as requested by the school administration to support school operations and student safety.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Previous experience with children, preferred

Preferred Skills

  • Applicants must be able to kneel, sit on the floor, lift children, and stay active throughout the day.
  • Applicants must possess a willingness to follow the lead teacher's direction and collaborate with others in the classroom.
  • Applicants must be flexible with frequent changes in routine, spontaneous needs, and a variety of tasks.

Additional Notes

  • Hours: M–F 7am–2:15pm
  • Salary: $22,000–$25,000
