The Maria Assunta Society Celebrate the Feast of the Assumption with Mass and Procession

The Maria Assunta Society from Saint Michael’s Church, Pawcatuck invites all to join in its 99th celebration of the Feast of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary on Sunday, August 18. Celebration will begin with the rosary and candlelight procession at Saint Michael’s Church on Friday, August 16 at 7 p.m.  Refreshments will be served immediately following the procession. On Sunday, August 18, Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. at Saint Mary's Church, Stonington. Following Mass there will be a traditional procession starting at 12:15 at Saint Michael's Church, Pawcatuck, with the statue of the Blessed Virgin Mary carried through the streets. Upon return to Saint Michael's, refreshments will be served.

Faith, Fellowship, and Fun for Homeschooling Families
Homeschooling families with children of all ages are invited to the Cathedral for Mass with other homeschoolers from around the Diocese on Wednesday, May 21st at 9:30 AM.  After Mass all are invited to bring your own lunch to the Field Pavilion at Mohegan Park for a time to connect with one another. Ice cream will be provided by the Diocese. Outdoor games and activities to share are welcome! A choir of children is being formed to enhance this Liturgy.
