PROJECT RACHEL ROSARY AT THE CATHEDRAL
The third Tuesday of each month at the Cathedral of St. Patrick following the noon mass, join the Office of Faith Events as we pray the Project Rachel Rosary. The Project Rachel Rosary focuses on hope, healing, and forgiveness for those affected by an abortion and also for an end to abortion. Please join us for this in-person Project Rachel Rosary on Tuesday, February 20th following the noon mass at the Cathedral of St. Patrick in Norwich.
The Office of Faith Events and the Awaken team are gearing up to assist Candidates and Catechumens prepare for receiving the Sacraments of Initiation at the Easter Vigil. Spend the day discovering God’s unconditional love for you, learn about the gifts of the Holy Spirit, develop a meaningful prayer life, and experience God’s mercy in reconciliation. The Holy Spirit Awaken Retreat for RCIA will take place on Saturday, February 24th at Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Quaker Hill from 9:30am – 5pm with Mass from 5pm to 6pm. VIRTUAL LENTEN MISSION
The Virtual Lenten Mission is an opportunity for us to deepen our faith, take time for reflection, and pray. This Lent, speakers Fr. Brian Romanowski, Judy Kosteini- Director of the New England Biblical School, Fr. Michael Phillippino, and Mary Ellen Mahon- Retired Secretary for Catholic Formation in Manchester will reflect on the upcoming scriptures for our Mission. The mission will begin on Thursday, February 22nd at 7:00 – 7:45pm and continue weekly with the last session on Thursday, March 14th. Diocesan Catholic Schools Basketball Tournament
Come out to St. Bernard’s School on Friday March 1 after 3pm, Saturday March 2nd all day, and Sunday March 3rd to cheer on your favorite Catholic Elementary Teams as they compete to see who will be the Diocesan Champion. Admission is $5 for a game or $10 for a weekend pass.
Young Adult Lenten Retreat with the Nashville Dominicans
Young and Catholic, the young adult movement of the diocese of Springfield invites all young adults (ages 18-40) to join for their “Journey through Lent with the Holy Family” 2024 Lenten Retreat featuring talks by the Nashville Dominican Sister of St. Cecilia Congregation on February 24th from 9am to 3pm at UMass Newman Center in Amherst. The retreat costs $25 regular and $15 for college students and includes Mass, Adoration, Confession, talks, small group discussion time, a light breakfast, and lunch. Diocesan “Restored” Youth Lenten Retreat
The Diocesan Youth Leadership Team invites all middle to high school students in Western Mass to join for a special “Restored” Lenten Retreat taking place on March 10th from 3-8:30pm at St. Elizabeth’s in Ludlow. The entire retreat will be led by the youth ambassadors, who will give the talks and witnesses, lead small groups and activities, MC, and even play music. JOIN US FOR A JOURNEY WITH MARY THROUGH HER SEVEN SORROWS
If you are seeking to find hope, strength, and comfort from a loss, burden or sorrow- a virtual seven-week program that will explore each of the seven sorrows of Mary’s life and the message of strength and encouragement each one contains. The program will meet online on Monday nights from 7-8:15 P.M. February 5, 12, and 19, 2024. Each week will include a reflection on one of Mary’s sorrows, guided prayer imagery, and discussion. Want to make your Lent more fruitful this year, looking to see how you can serve? Come join Young Catholic Professionals Central CT for our 1st Executive Panel Discussion! Come enjoy light refreshments and networking along with a panel discussion on service and the virtue of charity.
