Outreach to Haiti has welcomed Jennifer “Jen” Harding as its new Executive Director, succeeding Susan Wallace, who served the ministry since June 2019.

Jen brings extensive experience in international development and a strong commitment to compassionate, community-driven service. “At the heart of this work is walking alongside Haitian communities with humility and hope, listening first and building together,” Jen shared.
Jen joins Outreach to Haiti with 20 years of experience leading health and community programs in Africa and the United States. Most recently, she served at the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) as Branch Chief for Health Systems Strengthening in Malawi. She also served as the Country Director for Helen Keller International in Tanzania, where she led national programs in health, nutrition, education, and eye care. In these roles, Jen managed major donor portfolios, strengthened national health systems, and built partnerships with governments, faith-based organizations, and community groups.
A Fairfield County native, Jen attended Darien and Norwalk public schools. Shortly after college, she joined the U.S. Peace Corps in Tanzania, an experience that helped shape the direction of her lifetime of service alongside vulnerable communities. Jen is a fluent Kiswahili speaker and is honored to bring her experience home to Connecticut in support of Outreach to Haiti’s mission.
Jen is married, has three children, and lives in Chester. Although she has never been to Haiti, she is eager to visit when conditions improve.
For over 35 years, Outreach to Haiti has supported healthcare, educational sponsorship, parish twinning, and nutrition programs for children, with a long-standing focus on accompanying families in the Christ Roi neighborhood of Port-au-Prince. As this new chapter begins, the ministry remains grateful for Susan’s years of leadership and for the many faithful supporters who continue to pray, give, and stand with the people of Haiti.
