Annulment Workshop Offers Guidance and Hope for Divorced Catholics
For Catholics navigating life after divorce, questions about annulments can often feel overwhelming or unclear. To provide clarity, support, and a welcoming space for conversation, an informational Annulment Workshop will be held on Tuesday, April 21, from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. at St. Mary’s Church in Portland.
This workshop is designed for those who are curious about the annulment process, considering beginning it, or simply seeking a better understanding of what an annulment is and how it works within the life of the Church. Whether you are just starting to ask questions or have been discerning this step for some time, all are welcome.
Rev. Jeffrey Ellis, Vocations Director for the Diocese of Norwich, will lead the evening. Drawing from his experience working with the Diocesan Marriage Tribunal, Father Ellis will offer insight into the purpose of annulments, explain the process step-by-step, and address common concerns. Participants will also have the opportunity to ask questions in a supportive and informative setting.
The workshop will take place at St. Mary’s Church, located at 45 Freestone Ave., Portland, CT.
