Cathedral to Host Forty-Hour Devotion Before Corpus Christi

The Cathedral of Saint Patrick is hosting a traditional Forty-Hour Devotion of Eucharistic Adoration in preparation for the Feast of Corpus Christi.

When: After the Noon Mass on Friday, June 5, through Benediction at 7:00 a.m. on Sunday, June 7

Where: Cathedral of Saint Patrick, Norwich

During this sacred time, the parish and local community are invited to come and spend time with our Eucharistic Lord in adoration.

Volunteers are needed throughout the devotion while the Blessed Sacrament is exposed for adoration. To review the available time slots and commit to being present during the devotion, please use the form linked below or scan the QR code provided with this announcement.

Sign Up for an Adoration Time

The Forty-Hour Devotion honors the time Christ spent in the tomb and recalls the many biblical periods of purification, wandering and waiting associated with the number forty. It invites the faithful to deeper conversion, prayer and repentance through time spent in the true presence of Jesus in the Eucharist.

Any time spent with Him is truly worthwhile. Please join the Cathedral community in being present for an hour or two. Your presence is a great gift to His Heart.

If you have any questions, please contact the Cathedral rectory. Thank you and God bless you.

We ask you this Father's Day and always to guide and protect the hearts of all men in fatherly roles who are striving to love with your heart and do your work. Give them hearts that seek out their loved ones and gently turn their gaze to see You, who is Love.  And we ask you, Father, to bless them abundantly today....
