| 10-minute silent meditation |
Sister Mary Jane Vo, SCM, brought 20 students from the Pro-life club at The Academy of The Holy Family to pray outside Planned Parenthood in Norwich on Columbus Day. The girls decided to offer two Rosaries, a Divine Mercy Chaplet, and 10 minutes of silent prayer for the intention of mothers to choose life, the end of abortion, and for this facility in our diocese to close. It was very inspirational to see their sincerity and powerful public witness. After, Father Brian and Ed Stokes with Birthright in New London treated the girls to ice cream at Friendly’s 😊 Please consider coming down with fellow parishioners any day either of the locations in Norwich or New London to pray for a change of hearts and an end to this atrocity in our Diocese.
Meet us Monday at the National Shrine of the North American Martyrs in Auriesville
Join Bishop Richard Reidy and Fr. Brian Maxwell to honor the North American martyrs on their feast day this coming Monday, October 19th. This is a ‘meet-us-there’ pilgrimage without a bus this time as we had 2 busloads in July to this shrine. It’s 3 hours from Norwich, a little under 200 miles, Father Brian drives there once a month to help them out. Adventurous? What to make a sacrificial day to Our Lord ? Need a Holy Day ? Pack a lunch, come alone or carpool with family and friends, leave early, hope to see you there. Confessions at 10, Mass with the Bishop at 11, lots to explore and a great place to pray!
