Mercy High School Opens Nationwide Search for New President

The Presidential Search Committee has recently posted criteria that they are seeking in the next leader of Mercy High School, a Christ-centered Catholic diocesan college preparatory high school for young women, located in Middletown, Connecticut.

Founded in 1963, Mercy is a highly rated, private high school committed to providing a challenging educational experience in a safe and nurturing environment, as well as to exemplifying Catholic values and the mission of the Mercy Education System of the Americas (MESA). Mercy aims to provide a learning environment that fosters community, understanding and compassion, where students gain the technological and social skills needed to excel in the 21st Century.

Fr. Peter Langevin, Chancellor for the Diocese of Norwich and Chair of the Search committee expounded on some of the key qualifications that the next president would need to display, “Our ideal candidate will further the mission of the school by providing visionary, inspirational leadership and possess significant expertise in financial and business management. We are looking for a strategic thinker with the proven ability to build relationships, fundraise, and who will powerfully articulate as well as implement a plan to grow enrollment, elevating the profile of the school as it enters upon the next stage of its history.”

There’s still plenty of time for one more cookout, one more day at the beach, or at least one more excuse to put off raking leaves. We have a tendency to rush through life, always looking ahead to what&rs...
