Advocating for Life: 2019 CT Pro-Life Conference

Are you interested in learning how to effectively advocate for pro-life concerns in CT?

The CT Catholic Conference, Euthanasia Prevention Coalition- USA (www.epcc.ca), and Family Institute of CT are jointly sponsoring this event in collaboration with Pro-Life Ministry of the Archdiocese of Hartford. It is a day of workshops and discussions on November 2, 2019 at St. Paul Catholic High School in Bristol.

The St. Paul Catholic High School Pro-Life Club, recipients of the 2019 CT Right to Life Agnes Giannini Youth Award, will also be involved.

See information below for registration and tickets. Lunch is included in ticket prices.

Local and national advocates will speak about topics that are active at the Connecticut legislature. Active topics include: assisted suicide, pregnancy resource centers, and family concerns.
Please know your advocacy will be needed at the State Capitol next year and this conference will help prepare you and your family with facts and skills.
Workshops will include effective letter writing and how to lobby state legislators.

Sister Mary Mercedes Cook, SCMC, entered eternal life on Sunday, January 4, 2026, following a long illness. Her final years were spent at St. Joseph Living Center in Windham, where she received compassionate care. Born Jacqueline Fayre Cook in Hagerstown, Maryland, on December 18, 1939, she was the daughter of the late Garland and Anita (Willis) Cook. Her family later moved to Norwich, Connecticut.
