Catechesis of the Good Shepherd

Catechesis of the Good Shepherd (CGS) is a common religious experience involving children and adults in which the religious values of childhood, primarily those values of contemplation and enjoyment of God, are predominant. This experience is shared in a place particularly prepared for the religious life of children called the Atrium.

Join us on Saturday, December 7
St. Patrick Church, Mystic
9 am-12 pm

Come learn new “hands on” methods and techniques to help children come to know God personally.
Come listen to catechists speak about the techniques and strategies that make faith and religion fun and interesting for our children.
Come see how this model can be easily implemented in your parish.

We hope you can join us for a morning filled with ideas, strategies and resources to involve parents, families and parishes in Faith Formation!

All are welcome.

In Memoriam- Sister Mary Mercedes Cook, SCMC

Sister Mary Mercedes Cook, SCMC, entered eternal life on Sunday, January 4, 2026, following a long illness. Her final years were spent at St. Joseph Living Center in Windham, where she received compassionate care. Born Jacqueline Fayre Cook in Hagerstown, Maryland, on December 18, 1939, she was the daughter of the late Garland and Anita (Willis) Cook. Her family later moved to Norwich, Connecticut.
