Laudato Si' Week, May 16-24

Pope Francis invites everyone to participate in the Laudato Si' Week- beginning Monday, May 16 to Monday, May 24, 2021.

To celebrate the anniversary of the encyclical on the care for the environment, Laudato Si’, Pope Francis has invited Catholics to participate in a nine-day global campaign of prayer and action from May 16-24. The theme of the week is “everything is connected.”

The Office of Faith events will be sending out daily updates presenting articles, virtual events, and workshops you can attend to learn more about possible action(s) you can take as a STEWARD OF CREATION. Please feel free to pass this on to family and friends so that we can widen the circle of people who care and want to take action to improve our environment.

Awareness is the first step to making this world a better place for future generations. Catholics around the world are encouraged to say the Laudato Si Prayer for the environment at noon on May 24.

Please join us in doing one thing this week to increase your own awareness as well as the awareness of others. Have a great week!

Laudato Si’ Week 2021 will also be a time to reflect on what the COVID-19 pandemic has taught us and prepare for the future with hope.

The official website for Laudato Si' Week is www.LaudatoSiWeek.org. There you can find daily virtual events and opportunities for reflection, education, and action.
