Save the Date: Sisters of Life to Lead a Mini Lenten Mission

A Mini Parish Mission given by the Sisters of Life will take place at the Cathedral. The Lenten Evening of Hope and Mercy is on Wednesday, April 2, 2025 at 6:30PM. ALL are welcome!

The night will include a reflection given by Sr. Antoniana Maria, SV, followed by a Holy Hour with music and prayer by the Sisters of Life, confessions will be available and a social in the Parish Hall will conclude the evening.

The Sisters of Life is Religious Order of Roman Catholic women, founded by Cardinal John O’Connor in 1991 in New York to proclaim the goodness and beauty of every human life. They profess vows of poverty, chastity and obedience as well as a fourth vow to protect and enhance the sacredness of every human life. Their lives as women consecrated to Christ, the Lord of Life, enables them to live their charism; sharing the gift of God’s abundant mercy to all they meet and seeking to help reveal to each person their own innate goodness, the particular love God has for them, and invite them to a life of truth, joy, and hope.

Sr. Antoniana Maria, SV is originally from North Vancouver, British Columbia, where she studied at the University of British Columbia receiving her Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science.  She entered the Sisters of Life in Aug. 2002 after hearing God call her to love Him with an undivided heart at World Youth Day in 2000.  On Aug. 6, 2010, she professed her Perpetual Vows. Sister has served in a variety of missions over the years including as the Order’s Vocations Director, Assistant to the Superior General, the Local Superior of the Motherhouse, she was part of the first community of Sisters to begin a mission in Toronto; most recently, she was stationed at the Order’s house of study and contemplation in Washington DC. Sr. Antoniana moved to Stamford CT this summer and is serving in the mission of Villa Maria Guadalupe Retreat House.

The Cathedral is thrilled to welcome Sr. Antoniana and some of her Sisters to Norwich for this night. Come and receive all that the Father wants to give through this event!
