Auriesville Pilgrimage is a Profound Experience

Bishop Reidy celebrated the North American Martyrs Feast Day Mass Monday at the Shrine of Our Lady of Martyrs in Auriesville, NY. He was accompanied by seven concelebrating priests from the Northeast.

Various pilgrims from NY, MA, VT, PA, and our home state of CT, along with many Sisters of Life came to receive the many blessings and graces of Our Generous Lord.

Bishop Reidy spoke on the eight heroic Saints who brought the Gospel of Christ to the inhabitants of the New World, and our continued mission to spread the Good News in our day and age. The beautiful autumn leaves enhanced our experience on the shrine grounds located along the Mohawk Valley.

We hope you will join us on our pilgrimages to these shrines next year in July and October for the feasts of St. Kateri & the NA Martyrs.

During Men’s Conference, Catholic Men Called to ‘Rebuild My Church’

Eight hundred years ago, Jesus spoke to a young Francis of Assisi from the cross in the rundown Chapel of San Damiano and said, “Francis, go repair my house, which as you can see is falling completely to ruin.” Six hundred men from throughout the state, from high school students to senior citizens in their 80s, were recently encouraged to ask, “Lord, what are you calling me to rebuild?” The theme of the 19th annual Connecticut Catholic Men’s Conference, held at Holy Cross High School in Waterbury, was “Rebuild My Church,” reca...
