Bishop Reidy on That’s the Spirit – Part 2

This episode continues the interview with Bishop Richard F. Reidy on That’s the Spirit with Fr. John Gatzak. In the first part, Bishop Reidy emphasized the importance of charity and gentleness in inviting people to return to the Church.

In this second part, he speaks about the need for clarity when presenting God’s moral truths. While charity must guide every invitation, the Gospel message itself should never be softened or diluted. Clear teaching helps people find stability and direction in the midst of life’s challenges.

Bishop Reidy also highlights the role of prayer and spiritual discipline in strengthening one’s relationship with God and providing the courage to live the faith fully. He reflects on how the laity promote the Gospel in everyday life—through their families, workplaces, and communities—by witnessing to Christ with integrity. Finally, he points to the importance of being open to change and growth, allowing the Holy Spirit to lead both individuals and the Church into deeper conversion and renewal.
