Together as One, Through Faith in Action
In a world that often feels unsettled, marked by conflict, uncertainty, and voices of division, it would be easy to lose heart. Yet as people of faith, we are called to something deeper: trust. Trust in God’s enduring presence, trust in His Word, and trust that hope remains not only possible, but powerful.
“May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit” (Romans 15:13).
It is with this spirit of hope that we reflect with gratitude on the past year and look forward with confidence to the 2026 Annual Catholic Appeal (ACA).
The results of last year’s campaign are a clear testament to what can happen when our diocesan family comes together as one. Thanks to the generosity of our faithful community, the 2025 Annual Catholic Appeal raised $2,845,063.50, surpassing the goal of $2,700,000.00. This remarkable achievement represents 105.37% of goal, a true sign of shared commitment and sacrificial giving.
Even more encouraging, 24 parishes exceeded their individual parish goals and received 50% of their overage back — funds already being used to address local needs and strengthen parish life.
Our Bishop continues to spend meaningful time getting to know the diocesan community, and he has been deeply moved by the outpouring of support for the more than 25 ministries funded by the Annual Catholic Appeal. These ministries touch lives every day, supporting the vulnerable, forming our faith, reaching out to those in need, fostering vocations, and caring for our retired priests who have given a lifetime of service. This is what One Faith, One Family looks like in action.
The 2026 Annual Catholic Appeal will officially kick off March 7 and 8, 2026, when parishes will share the new ACA video featuring a special message from Bishop Reidy. The collection weekend is scheduled for March 14 and 15, 2026, and once again, our faith community is invited to respond with generosity rooted in hope.
“Hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit that has been given to us.” (Romans 5:5)
The Annual Catholic Appeal is more than a fundraiser; it is an expression of who we are. Giving sustains the mission of the Church, strengthens our diocesan family, and allows us to be Christ’s hands and feet in a world that needs compassion and light.
I extend my sincerest thanks to every member of our faith community. Please know that you are in my prayers, as is our world, which so deeply needs healing and hope. Together, united in One Faith, One Family, may we continue to trust in God, give generously, and move forward in peace.
