Join Bishop Richard F. Reidy for this special event benefiting the children of the Archdiocese of Port-au-Prince, Haiti.

Cocktails and appetizers begin at 5:30 p.m., followed by a dinner buffet. The evening will also feature Haitian crafts, artwork, a silent auction, and a keynote address by Marlene L. Daut, an award-winning author, scholar, and professor specializing in Haitian history and culture.

Her most recent book, The First and Last King of Haiti: The Rise and Fall of Henry Christophe (Knopf, 2025), has received several awards. Marlene graduated from Loyola Marymount University with a B.A. in English and French in 2002 and earned her Ph.D. from the University of Notre Dame in 2009. She is currently a professor of French and African Diaspora Studies at Yale University.
