Face-to-Face with Jesus- An Hour of Peace

Have you ever gone to Adoration?  As Catholics we believe that Christ is truly present in the Blessed Sacrament and His presence endures after Mass is concluded.

Eucharistic Adoration is an opportunity to sit with Jesus, face-to-face. It is a time of prayer and reflection.

Of course we believe that God is everywhere, However, in the Eucharist His presence is most powerful.

For those of you who have never been or haven't been in a while then the Video above and the prayer below may help convince you that the time is right to attend.- We have included a schedule of Adoration sites and times for your convenience.

Prayer of Adoration

by Saint Teresa of Calcutta

O God, we believe you are here. We adore you
and love you with our whole heart and soul
because you are most worthy of all our love.
We desire to love you as the blessed do in heaven…
Flood our souls with your spirit and life.
Penetrate and possess our whole being utterly,
that our lives may only be a radiance of yours.
Shine through us, and be so in us,
that every soul we come in contact with
may feel your presence in our soul.
Let them look up and see no longer us, but only Jesus!
The fruit of silence is prayer.
The fruit of prayer is faith.
The fruit of faith is love.
The fruit of love is service.
The fruit of service is peace

The word shrove comes from the Old English word shriven, meaning “to be absolved of one&rs...

Ash Wednesday, February 18, Marks the Beginning of Lent
On February 18, the Church enters the sacred season of Lent with the observance of Ash Wednesday, a day marked by humility, repentance, and hope. Ash Wednesday begins forty days of prayer, fasting, and almsgiving, calling us to slow down, examine our lives honestly, and prepare our hearts more intentionally for the joy of Easter.   Lenten Prayer from the USCCB Loving God, As we enter into these day...
