SVdPP has an immediate need for a creative, articulate, and organized development and marketing coordinator to help energize and professionalize its efforts in the following areas: development, grants, fundraising, community engagement, promotion/public relations, and marketing products. Grant writing and finding new funding sources will be the priorities of this position.

The coordinator will report to the Executive Director.

Work hours (20-25 hours per week) can be flexible. Salary will be determined based on relevant experience and prior accomplishments. This position is a 4-month temporary position with the position to be possibly extended pending budget situation.

Responsibilities:

Development, Grants, Fundraising

  • Coordinate development efforts and serve as staff liaison to the Development Committee
  • Oversee and coordinate the grant writing function for approximately 30 grant applications annually in the area of corporate sponsors
  • Conduct research and prepare and submit large grant applications on behalf of the organization
  • Manage the grants calendar
  • Assist ED in creating and executing fundraising plans, including the annual fund drive

Marketing, Promotion, Public Relations

  • Develop and design communications materials including reports, marketing materials, event materials, press releases, email marketing, and digital ads
  • Assist in content design and communications for website, social media, digital advertising, annual report, and donor relations
  • Serve as an organizational liaison to perspective clients

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent writing, analytical, and research skills
  • Understanding of basic organizational budgeting
  • Experience writing grants/reports and conducting research
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, work within strict deadlines, and manage multiple projects at the same time
  • Occasional participation in evening and weekend community events is expected.
