St. Joseph School in Baltic is seeking an enthusiastic pre-kindergarten paraprofessional dedicated to creating a positive learning environment that encourages a love of learning while supporting the mission of Catholic education and the curriculum of the Diocese of Norwich.

The successful candidate will work closely with the classroom teacher to support the growth, development and learning of students.

Responsibilities

• Support instruction by helping teach new concepts, reinforcing lessons and answering student questions.
• Assist the teacher in carrying out age-appropriate classroom activities.
• Follow the directives of the classroom teacher.
• Work cooperatively with parents, faculty and staff.

Qualifications

• Practicing Catholic who is knowledgeable about his or her faith.
• Previous experience is preferred but not required.
• Ability to work effectively with students, faculty, staff and families.
