Tenebrae Service - 7:30 on Friday, April 19 at St. Columba Church in Columbia, CT

Join us at St. Columba Church in Columbia, CT at 7:30 on Friday, April 19 for this moving and dramatic service.

Tenebrae is an occasion to pray and contemplate Matthew's account of Jesus's death and burial while mediating on the words of our sacred scripture, meditations and powerful music. This service consists of 7 readings of lamentation and gradual extinguishing of candles.

On Good Friday, we are fully aware that the story does not end on Calvary. Tenebrae reflects this understanding of Christ's Paschal sacrifice and its fulfillment. All are welcome.
