Couples Invited to Celebrate Love and Faith at Diocesan Anniversary Mass

Couples celebrating milestone wedding anniversaries are invited to gather in thanksgiving for the gift of marriage at the Diocese of Norwich's 2026 Silver and Golden Jubilee Anniversary Mass, to be celebrated by Bishop Richard F. Reidy on Sunday, October 4, 2026, at 2 p.m. at the Cathedral of St. Patrick in Norwich.

 

The annual celebration honors couples marking 25 years, 50 years, or any other significant wedding anniversary, offering an opportunity to renew their commitment and celebrate the blessings of married life alongside family, friends, and fellow couples from throughout the diocese.

 

Registration is required for all couples wishing to participate. Those registering should provide the following information:

Husband and wife's names

Address

Telephone number

Wedding date

Anniversary being celebrated

Parish

 

Registration information should be sent to Liza Roach, Evangelization & Discipleship Ministry, 331 Main St., 2nd Floor, Norwich, CT 06360. Couples may also register by calling 860-848-2237, ext. 305, or by emailing lroach@norwichdiocese.net.

 

The registration deadline is Thursday, September 17, 2026. Because space and planning are limited, couples are encouraged to register as early as possible.

 

Participants are also invited to submit a recent digital photo in JPEG format, which may be included in a gallery on the diocesan website as part of the celebration.

 

The Silver and Golden Jubilee Anniversary Mass is a joyful opportunity to thank God for the vocation of marriage, celebrate enduring love and fidelity, and recognize the witness that married couples provide to their families, parishes, and the wider community. W
