Athletes for Christ Mass Celebrates Faith and Sports

Athletes of all ages are invited to come together in faith at the Diocese of Norwich’s Athletes for Christ Mass on Sunday, September 27, at 2 p.m. at the Cathedral of St. Patrick in Norwich.

Bishop Richard Reidy will celebrate this special Mass honoring athletes and the role faith can play both on and off the field.

Attendees are encouraged to wear their sports uniform or a jersey representing their favorite team.

Whether competing on a school team, participating in a recreational league or simply cheering from the sidelines, all are welcome to join the diocesan community for an afternoon that brings together a shared love of faith and sports.

A new Chapter of the Third Order of Mary was founded at Our Lady of Sorrows Church, Essex, Connecticut in May 2006.
