World Marriage Day Affirms the Matrimonial Sacrament

This year, Sunday, Feb. 14, Valentine’s Day, has been designated World Marriage Day. The celebration over 35 years ago by Worldwide Marriage Encounter to recognize and affirm the Sacrament of Marriage. It received the Apostolic Blessing of St. John Paul II in 1993.

World Marriage Day is the perfect time to recognize and affirm the Sacrament of Marriage. World Marriage Week takes place each year on February 7-14.
