24 Hours for the Lord

24 Hours for the Lord

In communion with Pope Francis, we are invited to join with the universal Church around the world in observing “24 Hours for the Lord” – a way to encounter God and His mercy this Lent through Reconciliation. This is a time of seeking God’s forgiveness and a change of heart.

This annual initiative will be held on Friday, March 25th and Saturday, March 26th throughout the seven Deaneries of the Diocese. It is an opportunity for people to avail themselves of the Sacrament of Reconciliation. The objective is to offer to all, especially those who feel uncomfortable entering a church, the occasion to experience the merciful embrace of God.

Take this opportunity to continue your Lenten process of conversion in preparation for the celebration of Easter by visiting one of these participating churches near you:

Bishop Reidy Thanks the Faithful and Invites All to Pray a Pentecost Novena
My dear friends in Christ, Thank you all very much for your very warm welcome of me as your new Bishop.  As I meet with priests, deacons, and parishioners and make my way around the Diocese to parish Masses, Confirmations, school visits, Holy Hours, and dinner events, I am reminded how fortunate I am to be with you in our diocese.  Thank you for all you do. I am also acutely aware that all the good I hope to do together with you for God and His people depends utterly on God's grace. To that end, I am endeavoring to keep in mind the necessity of prayer...
