Into the Breach - Men's Study Group

“Into the Breach” is an apostolic exhortation by Bishop Olmstead of Phoenix which explores the need for men to step into the breach in the battle for the family. The Knights of Columbus has produced a series of 12 videos based on Bishop Olmstead’s work. Each session of the study group includes prayer, watching one of the 12 videos, discussion of the topic presented, and review of quotes from Scripture and the exhortation.

The ITB Study Group meets at St. Columba Church, Columbia, Connecticut. Schedule: 8:30 Mass, 9:00 Rosary, 9:20 ITB Study Group. Meetings will be at the same time, on the first Saturday of each month, except November which will be Nov. 19. For more information contact Karl Klein at karlklein1566@gmail.com.

A Thanksgiving Day Prayer
God, all powerful, most holy, most high and supreme; Father: holy and righteous; Lord: king of heaven and earth; we thank you for yourself, because by your holy will and through your only Son and the Holy Spirit you created all things, spiritual and material. We give you thanks because, as you created us through your Son, so by the holy love with which you loved us you willed your Son to be born true God and true man of the glorious and holy ...

A Veterans Day Prayer
The Return “The Return,” an emotional depiction of a World War I soldier kneeling before a crucifix inside the Church of the Holy Innocents on West 37th and Broadway in lower Manhattan built in 1866. Both the crucifix and the church are still in place today. God of peace, we pray for those who have served our nation and have laid down their lives to protect and defend our freedom. We pray for those who have fought, whose spirits and bodies are scarred by war, whose nights are haunted by memories too painful for the light of day. We pray for those who se...
