Connecticut Catholic Men’s Conference Announces 18th Annual Gathering for 2025 Jubilee Year

Bring Just One Man With You

There’s a man in your life who’s searching—maybe for peace, purpose, or a way back to the Church. He might not say it, but he’s hoping someone will ask. You could be that someone. The 2025 Connecticut Catholic Men’s Conference is the perfect place to bring a friend, a brother, a son, or a neighbor. All it takes is one invitation to open the door to God’s grace.

WATERBURY, Conn. — The Connecticut Catholic Men’s Conference will mark its 18th annual event with a powerful day of faith, fellowship, and inspiration on Saturday, September 27, 2025. This year’s conference, themed “Pilgrims of Hope” for the 2025 Jubilee Year, will take place at a new location — Holy Cross High School in Waterbury.

The conference will feature an impressive lineup of speakers, including Michael O’Neill, Fr. Jason Brooks, Fr. Anthony Federico, and Dr. Ray Guarendi, each bringing a unique perspective on Catholic life and spirituality. Attendees will also have the opportunity to participate in a Vigil Mass celebrated by Archbishop Christopher Coyne, with a homily delivered by Bishop Richard F. Reidy.

The speakers:

Dr. Ray Guarendi, a Catholic father of ten, clinical psychologist, author, and host of The Dr. Is In on over 440 stations. Dr. Ray brings over 40 years of experience, combining humor and practical wisdom to empower families to grow in faith and strength.

Father Anthony Federico, Director of Vocations for the Archdiocese of Hartford. Ordained in 2019, Fr. Anthony’s inspiring story—leaving behind a career at ESPN—has sparked a vocations revival in Connecticut, with over 100 men beginning their discernment journey.

Michael O'Neill, the world’s leading expert on Marian apparitions and creator of MiracleHunter.com. Michael's EWTN series and radio show, The Miracle Hunter, shares the power of miracles and the saints, inspiring Catholics worldwide to deepen their faith and witness to God's wonders.

Father Jason Brooks LC, a priest with a deep passion for the healing power of the Holy Spirit. Leading the Regnum Christi Detroit Healing Ministry, Fr. Jason helps men experience profound spiritual healing and empowers them to live boldly in Christ.

Doors open at 7:30 a.m., with the event beginning at 8:30 a.m. The conference theme draws from the Latin phrase “Spes Non Confundit” (Hope Does Not Disappoint), reflecting a message of renewed faith and perseverance.

Organizers encourage men from across Connecticut and beyond to register early and take part in this day of prayer, reflection, and community building. More information and registration details can be found at CTCatholicMen.org.

Remembering September 11th - Mercies in Disguise
Editor's note: The following article was originally published Sept. 10, 2023. It is republished to mark the 24th anniversary of 9/11. It highlights the very best of our shared humanity—the kindness, compassion, and generosity that transcend boundaries of faith, culture, and nationality. We share it again here as a reminder that, even in times of darkness, goodness and light can still be found in the world. Sometimes, the best stories come from unexpected moments of inspiration. Recently, I had a unique experience attending Mass at St. Columba in Columbia...

Fostering Genuine Encounters with One Another
Dear Friends in Catholic Education, The world in which we live is experiencing change at a pace unlike any we have known before. In many ways, it mirrors the dramatic shifts of the Industrial Revolution, when the cotton gin transformed agriculture, the telephone redefined communication, and the miracle of flight reshaped human possibility. Today, we find ourselves in the midst of another revolution, one driven by artificial intelligence (AI) and technological innovation, that will profoundly influence our children’s future. In this moment of transformation, Cath...

Blessed McGivney: An Outstanding Witness
Auxiliary Bishop Juan Miguel Betancourt recounts the life of Waterbury native son and priest Blessed Michael J. McGivney, whose patronal feast in the Archdiocese of Hartford is annually marked on Aug. 13. Blessed McGivney, who founded the Knights of Columbus, demonstrated how to live a life of service and faith. Pray for his intercession and for a second miracle that will lead to his canonization as a saint.    These days, I am re-reading the biography of Blessed Michael McGivney. I am sure you agree that he shines as a champion of the Gospel’s works o...
