Connecticut Catholic Conference to be Honored by Family Institute of Connecticut

Connecticut Catholic Conference to be Honored by Family Institute of Connecticut on October 3rd

Please Read the Announcement Below and Plan to Attend

September 26, 2019 -- Family Institute of Connecticut is pleased to announce that Chris Healy and the CT Catholic Conference will be FIC's 2019 Charles Stetson Awardees. The award is given each year at our annual banquet to whomever has shown the most courage in pro-family battles over the previous 12 months.

The Conference is the official voice of the Catholic Church on public affairs in Connecticut. In the year since Chris Healy became its new executive director, he has had a tremendous impact. So has his entire office: Deacon David Reynolds, Anne LaMonica and Lori Stewart.

FIC has said all along that 2019 was a year of miracles. And we have noted that our victories this year could not have been won without so many wonderful allies. Chief among them is the CT Catholic Conference.  In the defense of pregnancy care centers, in stopping assisted suicide and recreational marijuana, and on so many other issues, the Catholic Conference has historically been one of FIC's most important allies.

Listen, for instance, to his radio interview on state funding for Planned Parenthood.

FIC, of course, is an ecumenical organization that speaks for all of Connecticut's pro-life and pro-family citizens, whatever their faith. The Connecticut Catholic Conference brings the important voice of the Catholic Church into the public square on many of the issues FIC and the Conference share in common.

Tickets to the Oct. 3rd FIC Banquet, at which Chris Healy and the Catholic Conference will be honored, can be purchased here.
