New Name, Renewed Mission: Evangelization & Discipleship Ministry

Effective immediately, the Office of Faith Events will now be known as the Evangelization & Discipleship Ministry.

This new name reflects more clearly the heart of its mission: to help the Diocese of Norwich be “Rooted in Christ, United in Faith, Committed to Serve.” Evangelization is the call given to every Christian—to share the Good News of Jesus Christ—while discipleship reminds us that faith is not only personal but lived together in community, as we journey ever closer to Christ.

The Evangelization & Discipleship Ministry is dedicated to assisting parishes in creating, training, and fostering Christ-centered ministries within their own communities. By doing so, the ministry seeks to strengthen the culture of faith in local churches and support pastors and parish leaders in building vibrant communities where people encounter the living Christ.

Invitation: Learn more and join us in this mission.

The goal was twofold: to help young girls prepare for school by providing them with dresses and to teach Academy students the valuable skill of sewing. In a single day, students came together—rotating in during study halls and free periods—to ...
